Secondary Schools Admissions
Please see below some documents which will help with your application for secondary school if your child will be starting Year 7 .
One document is ‘Choose a Wandsworth School’. Choose a Wandsworth Secondary School gives details of each Wandsworth school and the criteria that are used to decide which children will be admitted when there are more applications than places. Please read these carefully as they will give you an idea of the likelihood of being offered a place. It also includes information on some schools outside of the borough boundary that are within easy travelling distance.
Wandsworth Test
You must register your child for the test if you are considering applying for a place at one of the following schools:
- Ashcroft Technology Academy,
- Burntwood School,
- Chestnut Grove Academy
- Graveney School.
If you are not considering applying for one of the schools, there is no need for your child to sit the test. This change has been introduced so that children do not need to sit the test unnecessarily.
