A Healthy Start to the Day.
We provide all our pupils with a nutritious breakfast to help them start their day ready to learn. Our menu consists of a varied selection of hot and cold healthy options.
- Warm buttered bagels or toast (using dairy free spread to accommodate different dietary needs) with jam or honey.
- Porridge
- Cereals
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
After eating, children have the opportunity to take part in a range of fun educational activities and games that promote wellbeing and help them feel ready for the school day ahead.
To apply:
Please call the office and they will send an application via ParentMail. It is important to note that parents/carers need to reapply for their child/ren’s spaces at breakfast club yearly. The office will send out applications in July for the next year.
Magic Breakfast
At Southmead primary school we’re committed to ensuring every child starts the day ready to learn. Therefore, we provide a grab and go breakfast each morning to pupils as they arrive at school. We ensure that all children can enjoy a warm, buttered bagel or slice of toast when they arrive from 8:40 am.
A healthy breakfast helps children:
- Concentrate better in lessons
- Have more energy throughout the morning
- Develop healthy eating habits
- Start the day feeling settled and ready to learn.
We’re proud to work with Magic Breakfast, a charity dedicated to ending child morning hunger, to provide this service to our school community.
