Dear Parents/Carers,
We wanted to give you an update on our remote learning provision: if a pupil (your child) needs to remain at home due to a positive Covid Test but the majority of their peer group remains in school, remote learning is provided but will differ from the approach for whole group work that was used during lockdown. This is due to the challenges of teaching pupils both at home and in school and will look as follows:
- Day 1 (this is the day after you have notified us of a positive test) – Day for teacher to prepare resources
- Day 2 onwards – Pupils will have access to Reading/Phonics, English, Maths and Science learning resources on Google Classroom. These teaching resources will use a mixture of Oak Academy/White Rose Maths and BBC Bitesize and will be linked to what is being taught in class. Foundation subject learning will be uploaded where appropriate.
There is no expectation that pupils need to complete work set if they are unwell.
Your child(ren)’s Google login and password are now stuck inside their Reading Diary so can I please ask you to login and join the new class. This is so that work can be set for your child.
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
