Southmead Admission Information – Reception 2026
If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, you can apply for a primary school reception year place from 1 September 2026.
Your application form and any supplementary forms must be received by 15th January 2026 (this date may be subject to change).

Choosing the right Primary School for your child is a big decision. We can offer a chance to speak to a member of our Early Years about life in Reception at Southmead. Please email eyfsadmissions@southmead.wandsworth.sch.uk or call 020 878 8901 and we will get back to you.
Make a schools admissions appeal
If your child has been refused a place at a Wandsworth maintained school, you have a legal right to appeal against this decision to an Independent Appeal Panel. For more information, please click here. You can find out more about the timetable for admission appeals by clicking here.
In Year Admissions
We are able to consider applications for every year group. If you have any questions about in-year transfers, waiting list or any general admissions enquiries please feel free to contact our Local Authorities Wandsworth Council and ask for Pupil Services. The school office may be able to help you with some admissions enquiries but in the first instance please contact Pupil Services. Click here for more information
We are able to offer tours of the school, so please contact the school and we can arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with a member of our Senior Leadership Team
Southmead Nursery Admission Information
Our Nursery applications close on May 2nd 2025 for the academic year 2025-2026, to make an application after this date please contact the office on eyfsadmissions@southmead.wandsworth.sch.uk

These hours are non-negotiable
The maximum number of children that can attend in any session is 26. Southmead Primary School provides a flexible offer with a mixture of part-time (15 hours) and full-time (30 hours) fully funded Government sessions:
