Hello and welcome to our new Year 4 classes!
In Year 4 we have Maple class with Mr Mac and Willow class with Miss Hails. We are helped by Mrs Jenner in Maple and Mr Luke in Willow.
Our painting for this term is Boom by Rob Osborne, and our topic will be Volcanoes which will have us studying the geography of these landforms, as well as famous eruptions.
At this stage of the year, the children will be continuing to work on learning all their times tables up to 12 x 12, plotting coordinates on quadrants, and translating and reflecting shapes.
In English we will be continuing to develop our narrative writing, as well as creating diary entries and writing instructions.
Here are some of the ways you can help your child at home:
- Reading with your child everyday
- Ensuring homework is completed and handed in on time
•- Helping your child practise their times tables.
If you have any questions please talk to Mr Mac or Miss Hails in the playground at the end of the day, or get in touch with the school office to arrange an appointment.
We are so excited for our final term with our Year 4 classes!
We will be going on a trip to St Michael’s Church on the 15th May.
Willow’s assembly will be on the 5th June.
More details to follow!
