Hello and welcome to our Year 4 classes!
In Year 4 we are: Maple Class with Mrs Horner, who is helped by Mr Grenville, and Willow Class with Mr MacAndrews, who is helped by Miss Elboushi.
Our painting for this term is ‘Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose’ by John Singer Sargent
We will also be extending our writing by using a variety of conjunctions, fronted adverbials and precise, interesting adjectives. Children should also have a secure knowledge of Year 3 and 4 curriculum spellings.
Here are some of the ways in which you can help your child at home:
- Read with your child every day and ensure their reading
diary is signed at least once a week by an adult.
- Ensure homework is completed and handed in by
Wednesday the following week.
- Practise times tables with your child reciting “1 times 8 is
8”, for all of the times tables that they are not confident in.
-Apply a variety of methods to help your child learn and
-Ensure that your child wears the expected uniform and PE
If you have any questions please speak to Mr MacAndrews or Mrs Horner on the playground at the end of the day, or get in touch with the school office to arrange an appointment.
