We had our annual visit from the wonderfully talented Nonesuch Orchestra this week, which the whole school is still buzzing from! The 18 piece Orchestra come to play us a selection of songs which this time taught the children all about Pitch, Tempo and Dynamics.
The pupils were introduced to The Four Seasons by Vivaldi, which showed the children how each of the 4 seasons would sound through music . Children listened and responded to the changes in music, through movement and actions.
We have also learnt a repertoire of songs in our weekly Singing Assembly with Miss Earnshaw, which we sang accompanying the Orchestra. This included “Bobby Shafto” and “The Grand Old Duke of York”.
It was so inspiring for all children and adults and we can’t wait to see them again next year!
